Eighteen inspiring true stories of dogs rescued from shelters, abusive situations, and the streets, who have found new lives working in animal therapy or as service dogs. Helping bring awareness to animals in the shelter rescue care system in desperate need of a FOREVER HOME!

From a pit bull rescued from Michael Vick’s dog fighting operation to an endearing Dalmatian dumped on the highway in a snowstorm because she was born deaf, NEW LIVES features a cast of unlikely heroes who will wag their way into readers’ hearts. It is a testament to the powerful bond between humans and dogs, and the belief that it is never too late for miracles.
